Anantarama Dikshitar

INTRODUCTION :

Anantarama Dikshitar (1903–1969) was a Sanskrit scholar and a religious preacher, and he was proficient in the philosophies of Hinduism. He was born in Thanjavur in a pious Dikshithar family in the year 1903, and he was taught the essence of Vedas by his father Subramanya Dikshithar. He further studied other divine texts from scholars and become a good pundit. His Ishta Deva was Sri Guruvayurappan, and through his grace, he has performed discourses on Srimadh Bhagavatham at Guruvayur Temple. 

His discourses were eagerly watched by great personalities like “The Sringeri Sankaracharya Sri Abhinava Vidya Teertha Swamigal” and also by the chief priest of the Guruvayur temple. His discourses attracted lot of devotees, and he was also praised by Sri Kanchi Paramacharya for his talent.

He attained MUKTI in the year 1969. Daily pujas are performed at the Adhishtaanam at Chinnathirupathi, Salem Town. It is believed by his devotees, that they can feel his divine presence, whenever they seek his help.
