SAIBABA – A GREAT DIVINE SAVIOUR

SAIBABA – A GREAT DIVINE SAVIOUR

INTRODUCTION

Saibaba is a great divine saviour, and he would bless everyone, irrespective of their caste, creed, community, nature and religion, since we can see lots and lots of Sai Devotees, who are running mad behind the great Saint, Sri Shirdi Saibaba, since Saibaba acts as the “UNIVERSAL FATHER” to his devotees. Though Saibaba had attained Mahasamadhi during the year 1918, his devotees strongly believes that still he lives in his Shirdi Shrine and blesses all of his devotees. Saibaba is also believed to be an incarnation of Lord Dattatreya by his devotees, and he has proved it several times through his miracles. Saibaba has got lot of followers in the world, next to Lord Jesus Christ, and some people worships him similar to the deities like Lord Vinyaka, Muruga, Shiva, Shakti and Vishnu. In order to prove to be a saint Saibaba has done lot of miracles, brought the holy River Ganges under his feet, cured the dreaded diseases of the devotees, cook the food with his own hands and he has done many more miracles like that. Still some of the devotees of Saibaba witness, that the holy Udhi(Sacred ash) gets miraculously poured from his pictures from their puja room. Nowadays we can find the establishment of lot of small and big temples of Saibaba all over the world. Some Saibaba devotees also used to do Sai Bhajans during Thursdays, by placing his picture in a small vehicle, and make it to move in the streets, in order to collect donations from the public.

Still Sai Bhajans are being popularly done in the homes of the devotees, and also in the Saibaba Temples, by reciting the famous Sri Sai Satcharitra, and pujas also would be done to the great Sainath. During the period of Saibaba, while he was walking in the streets, devotees around him used to loudly shout, “SRI SAINATH MAHARAJ KI JAI”, and Saibaba with a pleasing smile would bless the people who surround him by lifting both of his hands. The name and fame of Sri Saibaba cannot be destroyed by anyone in the world, since he is being considered as a “WORSHIPFUL DIVINE GURU” by his devotees, like Guru Raghavendra, and his devotees also strongly believe, that he removes all their difficulties in their lives. In order to attain the grace of Sri Shirdi Saibaba, faith is very important, and those who worship him must never lose their hope, and they must worship him wholeheartedly. One of my ex office colleague, though she suffers from polio on both of her legs, yet, she worships Saibaba sincerely, and she believes that Saibaba follows her like her divine father in every walk of life, and safeguards her during the times of her difficulties.

For getting the blessings of the Gurus like Saibaba and Guru Raghavendra, chanting their names is very important. We can also feel as if the divine nectar automatically gets poured directly from the heaven, whenever we recite the names of Sri Saibaba and Guru Raghavendra. But even after putting lot of efforts in our life, sometimes we would be facing failures also, and during that time, though the divine gurus cannot entirely change our fate, at least they would give us the sufficient will power in order to face any kind of challenges in our life.

There are several staunch devotees of Shirdi Saibaba, and among those, Selvi Maheswari is a sincere devotee of Shirdi Saibaba, and she is good natured woman who hails from Kumbakonam, and she presently she lives in Chennai and works in a Private concern. Few years back, I worked along with her in a charitable institution, and at her workplace, she used to move with others in a pleasing manner. She shows her great devotion on Shirdi Saibaba, and at her workplace also, she used to keep a small picture of Saibaba along with his Udi(Sacred Ash) and also used to light a small lamp, and worships him regularly. Shirdi Saibaba has performed many miracles in her life, and still he is doing lot of miracles in her life. She used to move cordially with others and due to that, she got a very good name at her work place. She also used to work hard, and finishes her work within the time frame prescribed by the management.

Though she contains some physical problems, yet, she would never worry about that, but, would worship Saibaba as her beloved deity, and used to chant his name regularly. Saibaba is fully occupied in her soul, and apart from Saibaba, Madam Maheswari also used to worship Guru Raghavendra, since she considers both of the Gurus as her divine saviours. Since she wants to stand up on her own legs, she still works hard in order to earn something for her livelihood, and she strongly believes, that the great Saibaba stood before her during the times of difficulties, and always would lend his helping hand in times of stress and failures in her life. She also plans to start a new business at her hometown, and let us wish her a great success in her future endeavours.

She used to depend on Shirdi Saibaba even for small, small things in her life, since she believes that Saibaba permanently lives with her in her soul as well as in physical form, and she also considers him as her guide, god, guru, father, mother and friend. She is now doing her M.Com degree through correspondence and she would be finishing her post–graduation shortly. She maintains high level of self-confidence, will power and courage, in order to face any kind of challenges in her life, and she acts as an example for others. She also gives good respect to others, and she used to call elderly people, respectfully as ANNA and as APPA and AMMA. She also can be described as an IRON LADY, since she would never get frustrated, irritated or agitated with regard to any type of problems in her life, and she also would never express her anger over others.

In human’s life, there are lot of troubles and turmoil. Some would express it, whereas some would hide it. We can’t run away from our troubled life, but, we should face our problems boldly. No one is 100% perfect in their life. Each and every one would contain at least some small drawbacks with them. Our human life is purely temporary. In this temporary life, we should act with others in a smart manner. We should lead our life by helping others with a pleasing smile.

In order to lead a blessed life, we should keep worshipping the divine Gurus like, Shirdi Saibaba and Guru Raghavendra, so that they would bless us and also would come with us in our every walk of life. We should cultivate lot of good habits in our life, and we should lead a highly disciplined and a selfless life, by seeking the help of the deities, Gurus and especially our Kula Devata, who shows more mercy than that of our own mother, and we should always keep it in our mind, that, at least once in a year, we should visit our Kula Devata Temple, in order to get his/her unlimited grace.

Let us wish Madam Maheswari to lead a peaceful, happy, stress free and a blessed life with the grace of her beloved Guru Sri Shirdi Saibaba, and let Shirdi Saibaba blossom her life, by laying a bed of rose flower on her path.
