Life after Death

INTRODUCTION :

Generally each and every human being would think about their life after death? Whether they are rich or poor, good or bad, healthy or unhealthy, that doesn’t matter, but some time or other time, definitely they would think about that, since no one can escape from the hands of the death god, Lord Yama Dharma Maharaja. Even death also occurs for some persons very easily and without much difficulty, but for some they would lose their life in accidents, suicides and by murder. Some people would get bedridden for several months or even for several years, and would painfully die. It also happens based on our Karmic deeds, and based on our predetermined fate.

Everyone would think whether they can change their fate, or is there is any other way to get changed their fate? The answer is no. We certainly can’t change our fate, and it had been already decided by the god, and the only thing which we can do is to keep on praying to the god to give a good death, without much suffering. And based on our sincere prayers, god would do the needful and we would peacefully die at the time of our death.

We can take the example of the great Vishnu Devotee, Sri Bhakt Prahalad, who had sincerely worshiped Lord Vishnu and challenged the death god Yama for many times, and he lived for several lakhs of years. This all happened only because of his faith on Lord Vishnu, and due to that, for several times, he had been safeguarded by Lord Vishnu from death, and through his blessings, he lived a healthy and wealthy life for a long period of time.

The great child devotee, Markandeya also escaped from Lord Yama, by tightly hugging on the Shiva Linga, during the time of the appearance of Lord Yama, and it is believed that he still lives in the Rishi Mandala in the appearance of a charming young boy and performing meditation on Lord Shiva.

Since we are ordinary humans, we cannot postpone or avoid our death, similar to the great devotees and rishis, but at least, we can sing the bhakti songs of the gods and goddesses, and praise their glories, and always keep them in our memory in order to forget about the worries of our life after death. Hence let us do good things in our life, in order to attain SALVATION after our death.

Let us worship the great Lord Yama and be blessed.

“OM SRI YAMA DHARMA MAHARAJAVE NAMAHA”
“OM SRI CHITRA GUPTAYA NAMAHA”
“OM NAMAH SHIVAYA”
