Swami Tejomayananda Saraswati

INTRODUCTION :

Swami Tejomayananda Saraswati was born in the year 1950, and he is affectionately called by his devotees as Guruji, and he is one of the notable spiritual leaders in India. He served as the head of the Chinmaya Mission for many years, and he was succeeded by Swami Swaroopananda in 2017. His birth name was Sudhakar Kaitwade.

He had conversed with Swami Chinmayananda on Divine epics, and through that he knows about the divine knowledge of Chinmayananda, and he was highly impressed with him. Sudhakar Kaitwade joined the Vedanta course in Mumbai, and after getting good knowledge in Vedas, Upanishads and other divine scriptures, Swami Chinmayananda had given him sainthood, and given him, the saintly name “Swami Tejomayananda”. 

Swami Tejomayananda actively administered the Chinmaya School in Coimbatore, the Chinmaya Centre in New Delhi, the Chinmaya Mission Hospital in Bangalore and the Chinmaya Vision Centre near Pune. He has travelled throughout the world, and visited lot of places, and used to give Vedic lectures among the people.

He served as the Mission head in Mumbai and as well as in various foreign countries, and he also awarded the Padma Bhushan award by the Indian government in the year 2016, and he has published lot of spiritual books.
