Baba Balak Nath

INTRODUCTION: 

Baba Balak Nath, is a great saint and well known for his yogic powers. He has incarnated in this Kali Yuga, in order to maintain peace and prosperity in the earth. He was considered as an incarnation of Lord Muruga. He was good at meditation and yoga.

Baba Balak Nath is the forgiver of our sins, removes our mind and body related diseases and gives great strength and energy in our life, and the giver of boons. He is the follower of Nath Sect.

According to legend, when once, Lord Shiva was sharing the spiritual matters with Mata Parvati in the cave of Amarnath, Parvati fell asleep, and there was a little parrot lived in the cave, and carefully listen the speech, and got enlightenment. After Shiva was aware that the story was heard by the parrot, he has got angry with the parrot and tried to kill it with his weapon. But the parrot took refuge in the Ashram of Sage Vyasa.  After that Lord Shiva has forgiven the parrot and blessed it. The parrot took human forms. One form of the parrot was called as Sukhdev and the other one was Baba Balak Nath.

Due to the blessings of Lord Shiva, he naturally contains good knowledge in all subjects. His original name was Dev. He was adopted by a pious Brahmin couples, and he was a sincere devotee of Lord Shiva, and worshipped him at the temples, and would do puja at his home. 

After some years, since he was not interested in worldly matters, he went to Girnar Parwat in search of spiritual enlightenment. In Junagarh he met Lord Dattatreya. He stayed with him at his ashram, and got great spiritual knowledge, wisdom, courage, and became a holy saint. Due to the grace of Lord Shiva, he remained as a child and called as "Balak Nath".

He performed many miracles in the life of his devotees, and safeguarded them at all times. He also met the great Saint Gorakhnath, and discussed spiritual matters with him.
