BALA MURUGAN

BALA MURUGAN

INTRODUCTION

In most of the pictures of Lord Muruga, his child form would be displayed. The child form of Murugan is called as Bala Murugan, and he has done lot of good activities during his childhood itself, like killing the powerful demons like Surapadman, protected the devas and he had shown his Viswaroopa darshan(true form) before the demi gods, and made them to realize that he is an aspect of his father Lord Shiva. Muruga was born from the third eye spark of Lord Shiva, and hence he contains all of his good characteristics.

Bala Murugan had done lot of playful activities similar to Lord Krishna, like fighting playfully with the devas, putting Lord Brahma in prison, conveying the meaning of Pranava  Mantra, “OM”, to Lord Shiva etc. There are lot of temples dedicated for Lord Bala Muruga, and among those, The Skandagiri Balamurugan Temple is considered as very famous one, since the idol of Balamuruga was built using a single stone, and the statue was very tallest.

At this present day world, we are suffering from lot of problems in our life, like loss of job, depression, frequent fights with family and from unknown diseases and from various deadly viruses etc. The only way to get rid from all of our problems is to keep thinking and worshipping Lord Muruga in his child form. Whenever we see any child in public places, we would become happy by seeing its smiling face. Similarly, if we keep seeing the smiling face of Lord Balamuruga in his pictures, our mind would get relaxed, and we would forget all of our worries.

God has given lot of solutions to our problems, but we are not properly utilizing it. Instead of getting worried from our problems, let us forget it by seeing the beautiful pictures of Lord Balamuruga in our puja room, watching his movies in YouTube, and observing fasting during Shasti festival days. If we keep sincere bhakti on him, in case, even if our own child ignore us, Lord Balamuruga would act like our own child, would remove our tears, and would give great spiritual bliss to us.
