The address of the temple is: Karthikeyan Rd, Jawahar Nagar, chennai - 600082. This temple is situated nearby my home, and hence, I regularly used to visit this temple during Saturday evenings and on Sundays. In the main shrine, Lord Muruga’s powerful deity is there, and in this Temple, Lord Muruga is known as Dhandayuthapani Murugan. Apart from the main shrine, shrines for Lord Vinayaka, Vishnu, Shiva, Naga, Brahma and Dakshina Murthy are also available inside the temple. Few cement benches are provided inside the temple complex, and devotees used to relax themselves in these benches after getting the divine darshan of Lord Muruga. During festival days, like Thaipoosam, Karthigai Deepam and Kanda Shasti, free wholesome food would be provided in the temples to all the devotees. Since, this temple is surrounded with holy trees and super markets, lot of devotees would visit this temple on Sundays and on other festival days. During festival days, different types of Alankarams would be done to Lord Muruga like Ma Durga, Krishna and Shiva.
Lot of miracles were happened and still happening in the lives of the devotees, due to the divine grace of Lord Muruga. Few puja shops are available outside the temple complex, and we can get ghee, flowers and Archanai set from them in order to perform puja to Lord Muruga. Lord Muruga is the son of Shiva and Parvati, and he was born from the third eye spark of Lord Shiva, and he is considered as an aspect of Lord Shiva. Without the grace of the god, nothing is possible in this world, and hence let us worship, Lord Muruga by chanting his names and his mantras and be blessed.
