Nimi

INTRODUCTION :

Nimi is considered as the king of Mithila  and he was the son of Ishvaku, and after his rule, several other kings were ruled the Kingdom of Mithila, and among them, the noble king Janaka also ruled Mithila, who was the father of Sita and the father-in-law of Lord Rama.

Once Nimi performed Yagna and invited Sage Vasishtha  to conduct the Yagna. But Sage vasishtha had asked him to wait for some time, since he had already committed to conduct yagna for Lord Indra. But Nimi started conducting the Yagna through another priest, and this made Sage Vasishta to become angry with Nimi, and he cursed him to live a life without his body till he completes the yagna. And after the Yagna was finished, King Nimi had regained his normal form, and he ruled the kingdom of Mithila for several thousands of years in a good manner.

Nimi was a noble king and he had provided all sorts of benefits to the people, and gave a golden rule. After the end of his life, he has attained SALVATION, and went to the abode of Lord Indra, the swarka loka.

Let us worship the noble king Nimi and be blessed.
