INTRODUCTION : 
Sri Surakkai Siddhar (18th century AD) was born and brought up in Narayanavanam at Andhra Pradesh. It is believed that he would have lived for a few hundred years and blessed his devotees. Even he blessed the British officials and cured their diseases and solved their personal problems. He was a sincere devotee of Lord Shiva, and was very much interested in worshiping him from his childhood onwards. He was a kind hearted saint and loved each and every creation of god, and showed great affection on them.
He solved the dreaded diseases of his devotees using bilva leaves and sacred ash. He also removed the evil spirits and black magic from the body of his devotees. He was good at meditation and yoga. He attained Mahasamadhi in the year 1902 AD at his Narayanavanam Ashram.
It is believed that even after several years, his existence is still found at his ashram, and he answers to the prayers of his sincere devotees. Lot of devotees were got benefited and shared their experiences among others. He lived a holistic life, and attained spiritual powers through his great devotion on Lord Shiva. It is believed that he got the divine appearance of Sri Parvati Parameshwar for several times, and received blessings from them.
During every full moon day and new moon day, Annadanam is offered to the devotees in a pleasing manner, and special puja is performed at his Ashram. Hence let us try to visit his Ashram at least once in a year and be blessed.
