Vasudeva

INTRODUCTION :

According to the Bhagavata Purana, Vasudeva was the father of Lord Krishna and his consort was Devaki, and his sister was Mata Kunti, a popular character in Mahabharatha. He was the Yadava prince and the son of the Yadava king Shurasena. It is believed that he was also the cousin of Nanda Gopa, who took care of Lord Krishna during his childhood. Nanda Gopa was the ruler of the Gokulam, a popular place of Yadavas.

Due to the divine orders, Vasudeva had safely placed Lord Krishna in the palace of Nanda Gopa, and Lord Krishna was brought up in the palace of Nanda Gopa till his teenage, and his foster parents Nanda Gopa and Mata Yashoda were taken care of him properly. Nanda Gopa and Vasudeva belonged to Yadava sect, and they are considered as divine incarnations. After their death, they reached the abode of Lord Indra, the Swarka Loka, and still happily living there by enjoying all sorts of comforts.

Let us worship the divine avatars and be blessed.
